How to overcome laziness and start learning when there is no particular desire. Effective ways to deal with laziness Why am I too lazy to study

1. First, find out if you are lazy, you lack motivation, or you set yourself impossible tasks.

Many active and productive people have an opinion of themselves as a lazy person if they can do something that brings pleasure.

Those who are constantly busy with business and work believe that business for pleasure is a mortal sin.

First, you need to understand what caused the desire or unwillingness to do something. It is important to stop using the words “lazy” and “lazy” when talking about yourself or your actions. Because it becomes more difficult to defeat the problem associated with a lack of motivation, self-discipline or job satisfaction by describing it as laziness. Explaining human behavior to laziness is pointless.

It is important to see behind laziness the real problem of inertia or disinterest. To understand it, observe yourself for a week, writing down how you spend every hour in a table.

Based on the analysis, the problem may be as follows:

- lack of self-discipline: if your schedule is tight, you follow it, but still do not have time to do everything that you have planned for this time, most likely you have problems with self-discipline. The solution may be to get rid of everything that distracts you. In addition, you can look for ways to strengthen your willpower;

- high expectations: if your schedule is tight, you actually do what you planned, but at the same time you continue to feel lazy, then the problem may be that you put too much pressure on yourself;

- motivation me: if your schedule is free, and most of the time you spend on sleep or other types of recreation, then you may have problems with motivation.

Lack of motivation may be due to not knowing what to do with life or depression.

Problems are mutually exclusive, so it is important for you to understand what is really happening to you and start working on a specific problem.

2. Assess work and study

Many students, while still in high school, begin to feel a sense of shame for future profession and unwillingness to work in the specialty. The important thing here is to accept that learning and working can be enjoyable.

Appreciating work for its own sake is a skill that needs to be developed and practiced.

How you feel about your future work, your current training, will influence how much and how well you will do your work, how much time you will devote to your training.

As a rule, we are surrounded by people who hate studying, then they hate work. They complain about it all the time.

Your attitude to study and work may also suffer from this, especially if you yourself have not yet decided on the advantages that the university gives you, except for the crust.

To avoid negativity, in order not to lose the remnants of motivation, it is better to spend time in the company of students with a more positive outlook on things.

You may be surprised, but there are students who know how to learn, who know how to receive from educational process pleasure and are able to actively and cheerfully spend their free time.

But cynical statements about education, about the future with a diploma will not help your efficiency in any way.

How to get in a positive mood at school?

Write a list with useful sides. There are always advantages to writing a term paper earlier, to finish your studies at a university, to close a session without tails, etc. Take a moment and appreciate these benefits.

If your study causes only negativity, mark those rare moments when you actually liked the process or were pleased with the result. The next time you have serious problems with motivation, you can return to this moment and tune in to work.

Rethink "study" in your head. When you are studying but feel miserable while doing it, try to resist your own thoughts.

Remind yourself that studying is worth it. No one can force you to enjoy the learning process. But if you stop feeling sorry for yourself, indulging your negative thoughts, feeding them, then it will be easier to cope with tasks.

Most fast way learn something faster, start learning it.

3. Change your habits

If the first thing you do when you come home from university or to a hostel is to drop your keys and turn on your computer / laptop or TV, then you are immediately setting yourself up for an unproductive evening right from the doorstep.

Similarly, if you are browsing vk for news.

To break this vicious circle, delete the vk application from your phone, turn off the TV and lose the remote control somewhere, forget to charge the tablet.

These small inconveniences that you create for yourself can help you change the script and instill new healthy habits.

4. Be consistent and celebrate your success

Laziness will always exploit loopholes. Therefore, if you have started some new order stick to it all the time.

Yielding to a provocation literally once, you will return to the point from which you started working on yourself.

Remember, laziness is a habit, not a personality trait. So fight it like a habit.

Celebrate your success often. To do this, you can use special applications. You set a specific goal and note the time it takes to achieve it.

We all learn a little - something and somehow. Everyone has heard this common phrase. Indeed, even if the school years are far behind, many go to colleges, improve their skills, learn foreign languages, etc. Not everyone has a smooth learning process - from time to time there is also a reluctance to do anything. How to force yourself to study, if everything is lazy, will be discussed in this article.

Understand what it's for

First of all, you need to realize that this is your own choice, not imposed by someone, but made independently. Only by feeling the freedom of choice, you can correctly determine the guidelines. If this is your own choice, then it must lead to something? When you are too lazy to study, you should mentally tell yourself something like: this will improve my skills and open up new horizons for self-realization. Having studied foreign language, it will be possible to find a more interesting and highly paid one, etc.

Do not scatter over trifles and do not be afraid

Surely, many have noticed that constantly postponing current affairs for later, they tend to accumulate and then already a whole heap of tasks leads to horror and confusion. Even if this happened, you should not think about the accumulated tails, but focus on one specific task, setting a strictly defined deadline for its completion. You need to start with the priority ones, gradually getting to the less important ones and then always make a schedule for the work to be done for yourself. Clearly follow the drawn up regime and do not deviate from it. If you are tempted to first rest, sleep, or do something else, you need to make a promise to yourself that you will definitely do this, but only after completing the required part of the training.

Develop your willpower

Those who are interested in how to overcome laziness and start learning can act in the most radical way, without arguing about why I need it, but go to get knowledge simply because it is necessary, period. Grit your teeth, gather your will into a fist and tell yourself that it’s okay, we’ll break through, and we haven’t seen anything like that. It is not forbidden to reward yourself later for such obedience to yourself. For example, spend an evening with friends in a bowling alley, buy a long-awaited movie CD or invite your girlfriend to a restaurant.

When thinking about what to do if you are too lazy to learn, you need to remember that the first step is always not easy, but in the future everything will go like clockwork if you act, look and act like an ideal student who wants to become something more than he is now .

As you know, there are hardworking and lazy people. Where does laziness come from? Of course, from childhood. It is especially evident when the child goes to school. Learning laziness is the most common phenomenon. Before determining how to overcome laziness to study you need to know a little about her.

If a pupil or student is a carrier of “good” laziness, then you need to think about whether it is worth getting rid of it.
"Bad" laziness should be destroyed. What to do?

How to overcome laziness?

  1. The most important thing is the goal. The child must be taught that he studies not just like that, but in order to become successful in life. A student chooses a university to get a profession and a job with decent pay. Everyone must find ways of self-realization.
  2. Live according to the rules. Parents strictly monitor the children's routine, and students exercise self-control. It is difficult, it requires great willpower, but it is possible.
  3. Set a timer. The most important things during the day to paint on time. This is how punctuality and the ability to fit in time are brought up.
  4. To plan. It’s good to make a plan for tomorrow in the evening and mark with a plus what was done during the day and a minus that was not done. If there are many tasks and among them there are urgent and non-urgent ones, then you need to distribute them according to the degree of complexity and deadlines. It is good to write down a plan of action on paper. Students have a schedule, so they can do some of the work on weekends, unloading working days.
  5. Destroy "offspring". The proverb teaches not to put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Therefore, we must try to do everything planned to do at the designated time.
  6. Take useful breaks. Routine work contributes to the development of even greater laziness, so you should alternate activities or tasks in different academic subjects.

From the article, you will learn some tips that will help you emerge victorious in the fight against your own laziness and start learning. But first, let's look at why this happens and what is the secret to overcoming this difficulty?

Why lazy to study

What exactly provokes you to be lazy to study, and give priority to leisure? Why are you quicker to play video games or watch movies, but the mere thought of any form of learning causes self-pity and feelings of despair? Research shows that several factors are to blame.

Lack of motivation, lack of urgency, and fear of stepping outside your own comfort zones are some of the factors that can induce laziness and lull your learning potential.

But what is the secret to unlocking said potential? What is the ultimate secret to fighting laziness to study? You need to get out of your own comfort zone, make significant efforts and make changes in your lifestyle in order to overcome lazy habits.

Numerous studies confirm that the habits of successful students who overcome laziness include the right motivation, training planning and assignments, no procrastination and elimination of distractions. That is what needs to be done to cut off the hydra of laziness from her head. Now let's look at all this in more detail.

To do this, open your hidden energy, rejoicing in future opportunities. Imagine your goals and write them down. Focus on who you want to be after graduation. Stop whining about what "should have been" by focusing on what "could be". To start your engine, watch motivating videos, engage in self-development by reading educational books about historical events or stories about the habits of successful people.

Think about the fact that today the beginning opens before you limitless possibilities thanks to your youth. And if this is not used correctly, then it means to act criminally towards oneself.

Find motivation or inspiration.
One of the following reasons why many students do not know how to start learning if lazy is due to a lack of motivation. Because the upcoming assignments or the presence in the classroom seems boring, does not motivate or inspire you. And that means you need to develop all this positive attitude and find a motivating role by thinking about the benefits of spending time studying: passing exams, getting high grades, or being recognized by teachers.

Visualize yourself after studying, thinking about its positive result. In this way, you will be able to study more effectively, because you no longer look like a sloth and you have the will to succeed.

After all, the younger you are, the more changeable your emotions are. Since laziness and emotions are correlated, you should make sure that your emotions are not the main driver of your actions. So don't put off doing your homework or studying until later just because you "don't feel like doing it." Would you say it's tough? But this is the only way to overcome your laziness and use your own mind.

Consult successful students, students who get good grades, asking how they do it. Once you've received valuable advice, try it, and don't dismiss it. Be sure that by doing this, you will get much more than just the strength to cope with your laziness.

What to do if you are too lazy to do homework

Choose the method that suits you best.
The first option is to do homework according to the principle: "the most tasteless is for breakfast." That is, the most difficult, unloved task should always be done first.

Another winning tactic is to make lighter items first. It is always more difficult to start learning than to continue learning. Start a difficult task and then finish it on time. Because of this, there is a feeling when you want to give it up, without even starting to start it.

You can overcome this feeling if you start with simpler tasks. For example, by starting to study topics on the subject that is easiest for you. After completing the task, there will be more incentive to move on to other - difficult tasks.

Find alternative learning methods.
If you do not know how to force yourself to study, if everyone is lazy, try using an alternative method of studying. For example, you were asked to read some book, story or story, then try to find it in audiobook format and listen to it. If you are studying a famous historical event, then there is probably documentary about him, which you can look through and learn a lot of valuable things for yourself.

Planning.
Absent-mindedness discourages any motivation to learn. Therefore, it is important for yourself to learn how to plan by starting a “diary”, where you should write down a list of all extracurricular activities planned for today, as well as completing assignments and lessons.

Availability curriculum help make tasks easier. Establish a sequence for completing a particular subject and other tasks. List your homework assignments and keep them in front of you like a calendar. Thus, it will help to prioritize and complete tasks on time.

Also remember that completing assignments requires a specific timeline and measurable results. Start with baby steps. After all, Moscow was also not built in one day, so you should also avoid haste, not treating your studies anyhow. This will help the next step, how to force yourself to learn.

Take a break from time to time.
Sometimes the key to improving academic performance is to do the opposite - distract yourself. It has been proven that it is impossible to concentrate your full attention on one specific thing for more than 20-40 minutes. Hence, lengthening this time of concentration will be counterproductive. Therefore, it is worth distracting yourself while doing study tasks at home: take a shower, do some exercises, devote some time to your favorite hobby, etc.

You can use the 20/10 method, where 20 minutes are devoted to maximum concentration on the task, and 10 minutes to rest. A possible option is the 45/15 method. You can also start with 10/5 if the initial options seem too difficult for you to keep your attention. Even if it seems like a “waste of time”, you will actually be more productive. Because it will allow you to keep your attention on the tasks performed throughout the planned time.

How to overcome laziness and start studying

Give yourself time to rest.
Don't confuse laziness with fatigue. If your body is overloaded due to study, then it needs to be given a rest. But not in front of a laptop and, of course, not in social networks. Such a rest will not give you absolutely no strength. It's best to set aside a day a week for yourself to go to bed earlier than play games past midnight.

Think about the schedule
It is important to write and keep a consistent schedule as the body gets used to it, whereas inconsistency can generate laziness. First of all, it is helpful to maintain a regular sleep schedule. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same hours, even if you don't have to go to school. Get up early and have a healthy breakfast. Set a schedule and stick to it for as long as possible.

Also set a schedule for other routines of the day that you want to do, such as exercising, exercising. A stable schedule after a few days will make your body get used to it. Thus depriving laziness of the opportunity to settle in your life.

Discipline yourself to develop a desire to learn

Bringing order.
The next thing that can contribute to your laziness in studying is the chaos and disorder that reigns around, especially in your room. So what to do if you are too lazy to study? Correctly urgently need to eliminate chaos and disorder. After all, the order in the room equals the order in the head. With this in mind, create a safe space for yourself to grow and achieve your intended results.

Then move on to clearing out the messes in every aspect of life. Whether it's your own habits, your computer, or, most importantly, your mind. Get rid of the clutter that might hinder your progress in learning.

Deal with distractions.
Once the disturbances are cleared out, it's time to hit full throttle. Time to take care of yourself! This is an important step, as it is intertwined with discipline.

Start by saying NO to temporary pleasures: social media, video games, watching movies when you have to study or do homework, term papers or prepare for exams. By the way, don't forget about phone calls. After all, you will still be distracted by them, even if you promised yourself to do otherwise.

Therefore, it would be right to turn off all gadgets for the duration of the assignments or put them into airplane mode in order to “fly away to science”. Forbid yourself instant pleasure for future success. Having said no to temporary pleasures, strive to instill good habits in yourself as well.

A warning: the application of this advice is sometimes inconvenient, tiring, and sometimes painful. But in the end, discipline is what will bring you success.

What will help you develop a passion for learning

Reward yourself for learning.
So, what to do if you are too lazy to study? To raise a greater charge and mood for learning, you need to periodically reward yourself. For example, every time you complete a task. Rewards don't have to be complicated. Something as simple as indulging in your favorite chocolate or your favorite ice cream. This will help you form a mindset that your efforts lead to something positive, tasty.

Keep your emotions under control.

By the way, consult with a teacher or successful students, students, who manage to study well, and even excellently, asking what helps them in this. Once you've received valuable advice, try it, and don't dismiss it. Be sure that by doing this, you will get much more than just the strength to cope with your laziness.

Don't forget to look back sometimes.
Moving forward, it is always good to look at the past. With every small step you take against laziness to start learning, look back and see how far you've come. Look at all that you have achieved thanks to the fact that you have overcome your laziness and be proud of yourself in a good way. After all, you need to form a positive image in your own brain about your successes. This will not only boost your confidence but also help you become a successful student. There will be a desire to continue in the same spirit.

By the way, do not forget to reward yourself for your successes.

The difference between laziness and procrastination

Laziness is usually found as a very passive behavior, while procrastination is not passive, rather it is associated with a lack of determination. Procrastination is a reluctant behavior used by a person to avoid doing something. It is a defense mechanism against obstacles, difficulties, potential failure and criticism. At the same time, because of the delay, a person experiences a feeling of guilt. Since he wants to do what he has planned, but he hesitates because of what and feels guilty and unhappy.

On the other hand, laziness is not associated with guilt. Rather, it is a carefree behavior in which a lazy person finds comfort in idleness. He is not disturbed by the thought that he has to perform a difficult task that exhausts his mental energy. For him, momentary pleasures are better than straining for the sake of something possible.

Conclusion

By the way, do you know any other tips on how to overcome laziness and start learning? We'd love to get to know them in your comments below.

The process of learning something new, like mental stress in general, is a waste of the body's resources.

If we cannot force ourselves to do this, it is worth figuring out whether this is a habit or a defense. Most often it happens that one is a consequence of the other. At first, we are too tired and cannot learn or remember anything, instead we find some activities that do not burden the brain. And then from a defensive reaction it develops into a negative habit, and we can no longer force ourselves to learn, even if we have the strength to do so.

Defensive reaction occurs as a result of fatigue- when our regime is down, fatigue has accumulated, resources are depleted, the brain refuses to spend the last energy on mental activity. As a result, overall performance decreases and we look for less energy-intensive activities - surfing the Internet, watching TV shows or hanging out in social networks. But this is self-deception, because these activities also waste energy. To avoid such a reaction of the body, it is important to prevent severe exhaustion and fatigue, take breaks in mental activity and switch between different types loads.

What else causes laziness:

Lack of motivation - we do not see any practical benefit from new knowledge, unnecessary mental work is imposed on us, we just want to pass the session and forget everything that took place this semester - so the brain does not see the point in wasting resources on this. We may also have difficulty learning material that we do not understand. To begin with, it is necessary to bring the information into a form that is understandable to us - it is easier for someone to perceive the text, for someone - tables and graphs, you can even dictate a lecture and then listen to an audio recording.
    How to avoid it:

In any case, no matter what causes laziness, it should not be allowed to develop into a habit. To avoid the temptation to trade mental work for endless procrastination, you need to keep your brain in good shape. Daily small loads will work out good habit engage in mental activity regularly. This will help a special development program for the brain.
Wikium online service offers 44 cognitive trainers, developing the basic cognitive functions of the brain - attention, memory and thinking. To develop a good habit, the service sends workout reminders. And the development program itself is built on the basis of the results of introductory testing: upon registration, you fill out a mini-questionnaire and pass a test that will show how your brain is developed now. You can train for free on a limited number of simulators, and a premium account will allow you to develop your brain to the maximum and always be ready for mental stress.

Most people are lazy because they are left out.

I agree.

But personally, I knew such a person and offered him very real options for how to "climb on board."
I am writing now, but I myself think that I offered him not just different options, but a bunch of options.

Some thus become their own evil Pinocchio.

For me, it is generally significant that when I myself found myself overboard, no one offered me any real options for salvation.
I even asked for help myself, but they refused me. BUT different people oh, how they like to say: "do not help anyone until they ask." Here, I asked, they did not help.

So everything is not clear.

On the one hand, the brain is like a computer, on the other - like muscles. The more you study something, the easier it is for you over time. And this applies not only to the activity itself (for example, playing on a specific musical instrument), but also the nature of the activity: to learn something new or to repeat the old.

Yes, we have natural "limiters" in our brains, and they are actually far from the real limits of our capabilities. If at first it is difficult to learn and remember new information, then over time it will be easier if you constantly train yourself.

Laziness sometimes says that the process that it interferes with is organized unproductively, irrationally and simply not needed.
For example, it may be too lazy to learn a long poem when you know that quoting it by heart is unlikely to be useful in life. For those who constantly read poetry from the stage, learning by heart is not at all lazy. When the goal is visible and it is clear that this action cannot be dispensed with, laziness gives way to the desire to achieve results.
Or, speaking of rationality, for example, laziness to wash windows with antediluvian means with great effort (soda, newspapers and some other horror). But it is enough to buy a good glass cleaner and a good silicone "scraper" for windows, and cleaning becomes a joy and takes much less time.

Therefore, so that laziness does not interfere with doing some business, you must first understand why this business is being done, what benefits it will bring, and secondly, understand whether this method is the most rational and thoughtful.

1. And if you didn’t know about the existence of a glass scraper, would you treat the first method differently and there would be less laziness and why? 2. What does not productive mean in the context of learning something new? language. Sciences. We do not know anything about this, and therefore it is impossible to evaluate productivity, even if before that we studied something else in the same way. After all, somewhere more information needs to be learned, somewhere less. For example, we know that Chinese is a difficult language. And I know that it needs to be memorized and it's boring and long. there is nothing familiar, there are no associations. And would it be more effective if I didn't know that it's difficult?

Reply

1) Until I knew about the existence of a scraper, I washed it with microfiber and a good product. But here the story is longer: I washed the windows at school in practice, with some kind of fright we were told to do it with soda, newspapers, and in fact it looked like in the cartoon “darling, I will give you this star”, only instead of a pan - a window.
I hated this thing and have not yet got a job, where, incl. it was necessary to keep the windows clean, did not wash the windows at all. I preferred not to mess up. And at work I learned about products that really do not leave streaks and dust particles, and since then I have fallen in love with glass cleaning. Same with mopping floors. With the advent of a convenient squeezable mop, I began to often wash the floor at home, with joy and pleasure.
Until I knew about good products, I didn’t like cleaning.

If there were no easy ways to wash and clean, I would probably do it much less often. Or I would console myself with the thought that, as in a song about a goat, "now I'll do the same thing with my window and again ... I'm free for a whole year" :)

2) In the context of learning new things - productively - not in the sense of "today I will learn 10 words and tomorrow 20", but in the sense that this will give some benefit.
It is easier to learn a language when you understand why you need it. Not abstract "self-development", but specifically - there is an article, it contains the information necessary for work. To get the info, you need to translate the article. And laziness gives way to interest. And then the reward goes like "I - well done." Well, the more articles you translate, the easier it becomes.
Or there is an opportunity to go on vacation to some interesting country where they speak little Russian. This is a good motivation to start learning the basics of English.
Read Reddit too good way. There they write much more interesting than on the Russian Internet, and there is a desire to look for an unknown word in the dictionary - in order to understand a joke or read an interesting note.

In science, there is an opinion that people study certain areas in order to find a solution to their problems. That is, personal interest. When it is, then it’s not too lazy to study something.

3) Would it be more efficient if I didn't know that Chinese is difficult?
Yes, it's not that complicated. My boyfriend learned the basics of various applications and talking to Chinese when he worked as an administrator at a Chinese school. Passed the level 1 exam with excellent results. He says that you can come up with associations yourself, such as "this hieroglyph looks like a table, it means something, and this one looks like a house, it means something." Yes, and in the courses they usually tell what parts the word consists of, and the general meaning becomes clear.
"Difficult" is generally subjective. When you do something, it is no longer as difficult as in theory.
And most importantly, why exactly do we need Chinese? If in order to conduct business, then there will be no laziness, because. money is a good motivator. There may be fatigue, "they got these squiggles" and "the head does not cook." But it passes.
And if the goal is "to give the impression of an intelligent person," then there will be laziness, because. it can be done in other ways.

The brain requires a large amount of energy, and the so-called laziness is a kind of trick to save the energy of the body. Overload does not happen in these cases, this is a natural function of the brain, to save energy, but there is also willpower), it would also be good to develop it. The effectiveness of training depends on constant research and the application of various tools in practice.

And willpower is the same brain. Those. the question is that you need to agree with "willpower" and you can learn everything you choose? Well, for example, it would be great to learn a programming language or know geography 100%. What's stopping you? It happens that you need to learn but you don’t want to, even if you are not tired.

Everything is obvious to me. You simply do not consider what you are doing now useful and meaningful to you. And the body itself regulates the forces that you spend on unnecessary business. Remember when you recent times lazy to sleep, eat or play your favorite computer. At work, you have DEadline to urgently do everything ... and what .. laziness really disappears, if not, then this work is not interesting and boring for you.

At the expense of learning ANY information.

The problem is that you just don't need any information. You know how to write and read - that's really necessary information for a person living in cities, villages.

If you were an aborigine, then the above information would be boring for you and, probably, you would not remember it. But they clearly knew how to kill a tiger and what berries they could eat.

At its core, the brain is a computer. When overloaded, it starts to give some failures in nervous system. But, as a rule, with the right approach to learning, nothing serious can happen. Efficiency depends on your interest in the material being studied. For example, someone reads literature and memorizes, it is easier for someone to learn material through diagrams and drawings, some use associations. There are countless such methods, but, as they say, if you don’t try, you won’t know.

Yes, but what does interest depend on? It is clear that it is necessary and useful to know English or the history of Russia, but it is too lazy to learn and it is, as it were, necessary, but not necessary. How to force yourself to learn something without a negative attitude towards the process? For some reason, this seems possible to me, because this is not unloading wagons and not a 40 km marathon - this is useful in every sense, and it should not be difficult, but we don’t do that. Why?

Reply

It depends on the internal setting, at school we get used to the fact that learning is tedious and boring. You just need to find an interesting way of learning for yourself. It is difficult to talk about adults, but from my experience of teaching children, I can say that through trial and error, you can find this most ideal way to learn. For example, some children began to learn English only after incomprehensible phrases in this language appeared in their computer games, with some children we watched films in English. But I assure you, no one will learn anything with stupid cramming

Reply

Is it possible to include this interest? Just take it and convince yourself or another (student) that films in English are interesting and a good way to learn? Why is it not interesting for others? Those. What exactly is the difference between methods that catch and do not catch? It turns out that there are already some associations - positive or negative, regarding the way of learning? If so, is it possible to make it effective by evoking positive emotions in one way or another? Will it work for itself? I just don't see the actual difference between a movie and a book - it's clear that different senses work, but what's the difference - like it or not if you know what you need to learn? Those. how to turn off boredom and just perceive information?

If laziness is not bad, laziness is a defense mechanism against wasting energy on unnecessary things. Laziness is like honor and conscience, if you are lazy, then you really don’t need it, it’s imposed on you, or you need it, but not now, or someone will still do it for you. That is, laziness is not so bad. Imagine a situation: a person is beaten with rods every day according to the schedule (morning, afternoon, evening) and he does not want to do anything, he just wants to lie on the couch, as he is resting from inconvenience. But then at a certain moment, they stop beating him with rods and he will also lie on the sofa, and how tired he is of it, he will lie on the sofa. But then he will still get up from the couch and start doing something, since a person from birth is a creator, he will do what he likes. That is, rods are what we don’t like: school, work, etc. what we use our strength for, and not many people have strength for something else. That's why you don't want to study anything, you just want to take a break from the inconvenience. You need to give up what you don't want to do, or at least try to give up the minimum of things you don't want to do. I also have a feeling of laziness, and when it appears I just don't do it because I'm lazy. But then a desire appears and I start doing it, of course it doesn’t work with everything, but if you live by this principle, you will be happy, but this path is certainly difficult. Moscow was not built right away. You need to give up the shit that is being imposed on you, which you don’t want to do, and you will be happy, but it’s difficult to do this, of course, but possible. In general, I gave you thoughts and I hope it was useful, sorry for my illiteracy and for not being able to express my thoughts, I'm just learning. I took my thoughts from the channel of Johann Sebastian and everything will be fine from the site. All happiness!

I would consider this question in an unfamiliar form.

If you turn to the ancient Indian shamans for help, or rather their teachings. They answered this question in the following way.

Every person has a power called intention. Those. fixing the flow of your thoughts from the right direction. Set a goal and focus your thoughts on achieving it.

So the brain is so lazy that it likes to have fun, not study. To learn something, you need to force yourself to learn it, or intend to acquire this knowledge.

"We become what we think about all day."

  • Ralph Waldo Emerson

We create the world in which we exist. Our brains, our thoughts and experiences are the creators of who we become. We are the result of what we see, hear and feel. All our knowledge of the world reflects only our personal interpretation of the world, and not its objective representation. Our human brain creates a world based on our own familiar and trusted foundation. Our perception of the world depends on our experiences, our memories, and even our desires, which create new or reinforce existing neural connections in our brain to help us understand the outside world. However, our brain is lazy and naturally resists anything that requires extra energy, so it takes effort to push it into the action we want to take.

The human body and mind are inert by nature. In particular, the brain main consumer energy in the human body, in his work chooses operations that require minimal effort, since he is tuned to conserve energy. The brain is biologically programmed to be lazy and minimize a variety of activities. Why is this happening?

Any natural and closed system tends to move towards a state of minimum potential energy, which corresponds to an increase in its entropy or disorder. This is one of the basic laws of physics, known as the "Second Law of Thermodynamics". This principle explains why mountains crumble and turn to sand over time. The application of this law to human physiology means that the body and brain, like any materially complex system, ultimately seeks a state of minimum energy consumption, striving to reach a state of rest, or, in other words, to a state corresponding to maximum entropy. Therefore, it is not surprising that most people usually choose inaction as an option. Some people are passive and don't like to do anything. However, the state of complete rest for a living organism is unnatural, because it means nothing more than death itself.

Moreover, Masood Hussein, a neuroscientist at the University of Oxford, has shown experimentally that the brain neuron patterns responsible for moving from decision to action are less effective in lethargic people. This means that the brain naturally lazy people you will have to work harder and spend even more energy on certain actions. However, it is possible that the structure of the brain cannot be the cause of apathy, and laziness itself may be the culprit of this inefficient neural circuitry. Perhaps, in this case, we should force our brain to be more active in order to improve the structure of the brain, which helps us achieve our goals with less energy.

So, as humans, we need to be more dynamic and active in order to improve our own livelihoods. In order not to become a living corpse, we must always voluntarily choose the path of development and self-improvement, be active in order to optimize our full potential.
